Drum and IBC Reconditioning in Montreal

Totes & drums

Drum and IBC reconditioning at Recocycle: we make your used totes and barrels ready for use and compliant with the strictest reuse standards. Every container admitted at our Saint-Léonard facility is assessed, cleaned and inspected before it receives its regulatory marking. You get a unit your teams can put back into service without delay, and without buying new equipment.

360° Cleaning & Eco-Responsibility

  • Eco-Responsible Process: for every cleaning run we use low-impact agents and methods, so the environmental footprint of our operations stays minimal without any compromise on cleaning power. That matters when your own customers expect a more sober supply chain from you. For your side the result is unchanged: a container that is clean, compliant and immediately usable.
  • Rigorous Water Management: our treatment system filters and decontaminates the effluent produced by washing, which keeps us within the strictest municipal and government standards. In practice it means the residue removed from your containers does not simply end up back in the network, and you have no effluent of your own to manage.
  • High-Performance Wash (360°): a thorough interior and exterior clean designed to strip chemical residue and impurities from steel drums and intermediate bulk containers alike. The 360° wash restores the container’s original integrity and applies just as well to a tight-head unit as to a 1000L or 1250L IBC.
  • Inspection and Certification of Drums and IBCs: every unit goes through a final verification before it leaves our facility. We handle the certification of IBC containers and steel drums so the piece can return to service immediately and safely, without your teams redoing the checks on their side. A rejected item never ends up in a delivery.

Ready for Reuse (RL Marking): Certified quality, no compromises

  • UN and Transport Canada Compliance: each container follows a rigorous process, validated by the official RL (Reconditioned Liquid) marking. That mark confirms strict compliance with CAN/CGSB-43.146 for IBC certification and CAN/CGSB-43.126 for drum certification, as framed by the federal reconditioning requirements. It is the mark your customers and carriers check first.
  • Systematic Leak Testing: to guarantee full safety, we run a leak test on every single unit. This critical step confirms the container is airtight for regulated goods in transit, so no failure interrupts your production down the line. It also protects your docks, your warehouse and your people. A leaking container always costs more than the test that caught it.
  • Extended Life Cycle and Valorization: by combining UN certification with deep cleaning, we restore full operational value to your equipment. This remanufacturing approach extends the service life of your containers, avoids buying new ones, and ties circular economy to industrial performance. Units that cannot return to service go to recovery and material reclamation rather than default landfill.
